Hi guys! This is my first real post, so forgive any breaches of the "Blogger's Code" or whatever it is. The problem is, when I am most motivated to post, I am working on something like Algebra that I can't just quit. Oh well.
I am going to go get a new cello soon, which I am pretty excited about. It is going to be from the Carlsen Cello Foundation. They loan young cellists cellos. I currently have a great 3/4 cello from them that I really like, and I am kind of sad to give it back. Hopefully, the full size cello I get from them will be even better. Almost all the cello teachers I have met at music camps this summer, as well as my own teacher, say I need a new cello!
I am really glad I am home for a while, as I have been going a bunch of places this summer. Almost immediatly after summer started, I went to Pemona to attend NCI, the Nation Cello Istitute. Just a little after that, I went to Laughing Horse Festival in Ellensburg, which was great. I can't wait until I can go again next year! Then Crecent Lake, which is a wonderful vacation spot. Now I am home for a few weeks, which is nice. Then off to Ross Lake, and a day after we get back, Italy! For three weeks! But I am going to miss the beginning of school, which won't be great :( Oh well.
One of my friends is moving to Olympia tomarrow, which is sad. I met him through homeschooling, and have known him for two years. They decided to move a while ago, but now their house sold and they are leaving. :(
Well, hope you liked my first post, and I will try to regularly update this. See ya!

YAY FOR LAUGHING HORSE!
I'm defintely going again next year.

that is a very impressive first post, Elliot! mine were always three sentences for about six months. then I got into it.

Italy? cool!
I've been to both Paris and London, but Italy sounds like a lot of fun!

I would love to go to Europe, it sounds so interesting.
I probably won't be able to go there, at least not untill I'm older. You see, htere are six kids in our family, so the youngest wouldn't really apreciate it, and it would be rather expesive. We do get to go to Disney Land though! I would rather go to Europe any time more than disney land.

Hi guys! Thanks for looking at my blog. YES! Laughing Horse rocks! Hey, thanks for the compliment. Ya, I am really excited about Italy. I have been to France twice (once when I was really young, and one in 3rd grade) and loved it. My mom knows some french, so we got along fine. But noone coming with us knows any Italian. So that might be interesting... How was London? I would love to go sometime.
Ya, Europe is a great place. Lots of fun. Wow! five siblings! One seems like alot to me, lol. Anyway, see ya later!

London was dirty, weird, and generally bad. Think Dickens kind of London. it hasn't changed much.
there was graffiti EVERYWHERE and it was all really dirty.
and we weren't in that bad a part of London, either.
but it was a lot of fun.
It was really funny, 'cause my dad was out trying to find us some breakfast on the first day, and this grocery dude was trying to tell him that he would probably get mugged, so finally the grocery dude gave him our breakfast for free. it was very amusing.

France was a lot nicer, cause we stayed in my grandma's appartment and that was in Versailles and it was cool.

or, alternately, I was a lot younger and didn't notice the dirt. take your pick.

Versailles . . .
That sounds so wonderful.
I would love to see it.

Yes, 5 syblings is alot, but it is sooo much fun. I don't know what I would do without them, being the oldest of five is much funner than being an only child. I think.
I actually wouldn't know. But that doesn't matter. Oh and the funny thing is, we are all girls, except Nathan. He is the only boy. He gets plenty of pitty for that, let me tell you. Especially from strangers.

He says he doesn't mind, which is good.

I'm perfectly content with my three siblings, thanks very much.

yeah, Versailles was wonderful! they had markets every day (One day it was crafts, the next it was food) and Versailles palace was within walking distance of the appartment, and me and dad wandered off one morning to find milk, got lost, and I bought sixteen croissaints instead of 6..

yeah, versailles was awesome.

Thats too bad about London. I heard that England was fun, but (the people I heard this from) were probably in different places than you were. Weird story about the "grocery dude" though, lol. Versailles sounds like lots of fun. When did you go? We went alot of places in France, but not there. The markets were really great. And the resturants... mmmm... Anyway, see ya later. Glad that my blog has gotten so many posts!

I HATE Algebra!!!
Gosh I haven't been here in awhile!
*sigh* OH I want to go to Europe.
Sorry If I capitalize a lot I'm at my Grandparents and their shift button is kind of sticky...:)
Do you have siblings El?
I've only been to Singapore and India...both very different though.
Funny about the croissants! But how did you get from milk to those?
More later...

Hi guys!
Lego, do you want the concert recording? Plus, if you have already had auditions, doesn't that mean that I can't join? Ok, lets say we split responsibility for the great sounding Orchestra half and half. Those other people, like the concert master, had nothing to do with it ;) I talked to my mom about Tacoma, she is not sure. Kinda far from here. Have to talk to her about it. Anyway, see ya later!

hmph! you may have 1/3. and that's generous! 2/3 was all ME. ;P
sure, why not. it'd be cool to hear how we sounded.
I'm sure you could sign up if you really wanted to, it just might take some extra effort. you could always do it next year...

Hi guys!
Verya, Are you currently doing Algebra? I have one sister. Lego can tell you about her (I have pictures ;) lol. Lego, I will e-mail you the files. Do you want just the songs and our part, the whole thing, or some combination? Do you have a PC or a Mac? I have a PC, but they are in some evil iTunes format, or something. Should work either way, though.
About the Auditions, do you know when they end? Argh, I am fairly impatient, and hate that dreaded "next year" word. *make mad/grumpy face* Anyway, see ya later!

They don't tell you what places you get till orientation (so that people won't leave if they get a horrible place) and that's great that you can still audition! it'd be awesome to have you in TYS!

We have iTunes (my brother has an iPod). that's cool. Why don't you just send me our part.

Elliott? do you have pictures of me playing dog? uh-oh......

yeah. you have to fill out an audition form online, and then call them and schedule an audition.
