There and back again

Here I am! Again. I know, I keep resurfacing and disappearing again. But now I am back. For good. Or at least for a couple of days. Anyway, nice to see you are all here. Hi Sam! Nice to meet you.
Anyway, (it isn't my post if there are less than 4 "anyways" ;) thing are good here. I just got back from Portland, Oregan, where I stayed for a week for x-mas. Nice to see all my relatives (on my mom's side) again, and leave just when you start getting really annoyied by them. lol. Anyway, I had a great x-mas, got stuff that I really wanted, and hopefully hade some people happy with my gifts.
A little while before that, I was in California with my relatives on my dad's side for Thanksgiving. We go down to California once a year, and I always really enjoy it. And, my cello didn't get damaged by the airline this time! Yay! Hopefully, I will be able to go back to California by myself in January. I am really looking forward to that.

And then there is skiing. I love skiing, and my family always plans on week-long ski trip a year. This time we are going to a ski resort in Canada called Kimberly. I have never been there, but it looks good. That is in about the middle of January. Another fun thing to look forward to!

For me, school starts on the 2nd, and while I am looking forward to it, I am not looking forward to chainging my entire class scedule. I really like getting to sleep in a bit, but that may not be the case soon. And with the wierd scedule of the homeschool classes, I may not be able to take all of them. *sigh*

From now 'till school starts, I will be kept busy by getting all my assignments ready, cleaning up the house (every other minute my mom "suggests" something I can do to help) and learning Mac OS X. Because, I got a Macbook for x-mas! YYYAAAAYYY! So now I am trying to find out how to actually use it (our family uses Windows computers.) Luckly, I got a book about how to switch from a mac to a PC, so I will be avidly studying it. It could take a little while though, becuase it is huge (514 pages!)

Anyway, glad to be back! Hope I will stay this way for at least a week (but don't count on it ;)

Hi Verya!
Thanks for commenting, I was afriad everyone regarded my blog as a ghost town, lol. Anyway, I will try to stay longer than a week, just sometimes I get busy with something or go somewhere and forget to post. Anyway, glad you appreciate my presence. Stuff I got? Well, lots of cool stuff, books, games (of the board variety) a panini press (which may seem like a fairly odd gift, but I actually have wanted one for a while) and money for a macbook, which I bought a few days ago. I am definatly glad to be back! The cyber zombies barely missed me. I had to turn off my internet conection and sit in the dark; torture! Anyway, I will talk to Eowyn about mac, I could use a bit of help learning a new OS. For now, I am still a windows fan. If only becuase of hardware and game reasons. Oh well.
Anyway, did you get the e-mail I sent you a little before Christmas, Lego?
Just wondering, my e-mail accound has been misbehaving lately. Sorry.

Oh I'm so glad you got a Mac . . . as you know, (Anna told you) my family only does Mac computers. My dad apsolutely loves them and is aways on a rampage against PC.

I can understand why you feel that windows has more options, by way of games, etc. etc. but on all the new Mac computers there is a optional login so that you can run anything PC on it, and it is like having Mac and PC all in one. We don't have any computers like that yet, but we are going to get one soon. I can't wait! It will be really fun to use the PC programs we couldn't use before.

I'm sure that you will get udjusted very soon to your mac.

( I'm really only a little bit prejudiced towards Macintosh. It really is all my dads fault.)

Hi guys!
Ya Eowyn, I like my mac (I am actually typing this on it.) And the programs and stuff are great. And Bootcmp is pretty cool as well (the way you run XP on a Mac.) If I were to argue why PCs are still better for PC programs, I could go into a rant about macs being only available from apple, and how it drives prices up, etc. But I won't because this isn't really an argument blog. At least not yet ;)
If it were, I would throw some political opinions into the fray, and it would get ugly. Fast.
Anyway, hope all of you are doing well, and see ya later!

I think we have been introduced- I just changed by blogger name. As Anna said, I'm Ribbons.

But nice to meet you again!!!

Sure. And it really is all dads fault that we like Mac so much.

For example, we visit our cousins house alot. (Ribbons and I are cousins) there are six kids in our family, and five in theirs. But when we have family gatherings, Dad goes to their computer, and sets it to the Mac hompage. So dad continually is teasing us about how whenever we go to there house (at least once a week, but normally twice) we have to change their webpage.

It is all in good fun though.
